Serie A giants Juventus have been very active in the ongoing transfer window. The Italian club has managed to draft in Matthijs de Lift by beating rivals like Barcelona who were also in the race. However, star player Cristiano Ronaldo has now asked the Juventus management to cover another area by signing in Lionel Messi’s Argentina teammate Mauro Icardi.
According to a report carried by Diario Gol, a Spanish sports portal, Ronaldo has asked Juventus to seriously consider Mauro Icardi as an option. Notably, the striker will be available for transfer at around €60 Million and Juventus have emerged as the favourites to draft him into their side.
Icardi is not involved in Inter Milan manager Antonio Conte’s plans so much so that they have even given his ‘9’ jersey to Romelu Lukaku.
The deal regarding Icardi’s transfer from Inter Milan to Juventus will have to happen before 2 September, the transfer deadline day for Serie A sides.
