Premier League clubs approve changes to associated party transaction rules
The proposed changes came into play after an independent tribunal found some aspects of the APT rules to be unlawful following Manchester City’s lawsuit.
The 31-year-old’s previous contract expired at the end of the 2018/19 season.
Eden Hazard may be stalling on a contract extension since forever, but another Chelsea winger—Pedro—has put pen to paper a deal that will see him remain at Stamford Bridge till at least 2020.
“Pedro has signed a one-year contract extension with the Blues,” a statement on the club website read.
The veteran Spaniard’s contract expired in 2019 and with the Premier League outfit hesitant to let him potentially leave next season on a free transfer, tied him down for another year.

“It is very good for me, I am really happy here in the club, with my team-mates, the supporters and the club in general. It’s important for me to continue with Chelsea, I am comfortable here and want to win new titles and trophies. I want to help the team, score goals, and I repeat, I am really happy,” Pedro gushed upon signing the extension.
The diminutive Spaniard, who arrived in 2015 from Catalan giants Barcelona, has scored 28 goals in 131 appearances for the West Londoners.

In good nick for the Blues during pre-season, the 31-year-old is expected to start Sunday’s Community Shield fixture against Manchester City especially with wingers Willian and Hazard not being match fit.
Under new coach Maurizio Sarri, Chelsea have caught the eye in pre-season, but a cloud hangs over some of their best players, including the aforementioned duo of Wilian and Hazard, along with keeper Thibaut Courtois.

Sarri’s expected to have a showdown with the three players on the weekend, as the transfer deadline is less than a week away.
