Wolves part ways with manager O’Neil after loss against Ipswich
Wolves have confirmed the departure of manager O'Neil on Sunday following their 2-1 loss against Ipswich Town in the Premier League.
Although the USA star has warmed the benches for most of the Chelsea games, Lampard insists that Pulisic is pretty much part of his plans.
Christian Pulisic had become the latest star player to play for Chelsea prior to the beginning of the 2019-20 season, despite signing him six months earlier. However, Pulisic has not been used that frequently by Chelsea manager Frank Lampard and has now had his say on his future.
Lampard stated that the club is not interested in allowing Pulisic to leave the club on loan. Although the USA star has warmed the benches for most of the Chelsea games, Lampard insists that Pulisic is pretty much part of his plans and needs to stay with them for the time being.

“No,” said Lampard when he was asked if the club would allow Pulisic to depart from the club on loan as quoted by Daily Mail.

“With Christian, he’s come to us in a big move, let’s make no mistake about it, and then he’s just turned 21 recently, and we’ve got a competitive squad here.
“I said it before the last game, I always have a problem who to pick and people make my decisions in training or how they’re playing, and at the minute with winning four on the bounce I need the edge of staying in the team and keep performing and everyone is the same.
“With him coming here, we have to protect him for that fact because he’s young. Christian, as with every player in the squad, needs to work hard in training, keep improving in training, see the direction we’re going, be a part of it, and show what you can do on a matchday, and all the players are the same there,” he added.
Frank Lampard added that he is keeping in mind the ‘bigger picture’ when making decisions for youngsters like Pulisic.
“With Christian, huge credit to him for coming through at Dortmund at a young age, but then it brings other difficulties where sometimes you’re out of the team.
“You come to Chelsea and it’s a similar situation. The demands are huge. The interest from outside is huge and he’s a young boy. I have no problem. I see the big picture with Christian and I see it with all the young players,” he added.
The manager has already been receiving a lot of praise for showing faith in academy talents at Chelsea. He is starting regularly with the likes of Tammy Abraham, Mason Mount, and Fikayo Tomori, who have all done well so far in this season.
