Sri Lanka prepare for New Zealand challenge with unchanged T20I squad
Sri Lanka have named a strong 16-member squad led by Charith Asalanka for a six-match white-ball series involving three T20Is followed by three ODIs, against New Zealand.
Though the fielders ended up taking the ball out of Boult’s helmet, it had stayed in there long enough for it to be considered dead.
New Zealand pacer Trent Boult provided the fans with a memory which left them in splits during the first Test against Sri Lanka at the Galle International Stadium.
On the first ball of the 82nd over with New Zealand batting on 239 for 8, left-arm bowler Lasith Embuldeniya came in to bowl to Boult. The New Zealander tried to play a premeditated paddle sweep in hope of getting the ball fine of the wicketkeeper but found a leading edge and the ball got stuck in his helmet grill.

The moment got even funnier after Boult tried to run away from the Sri Lankan fielders, who tried to circle him and catch the ball in case it fell from his helmet. However, that didn’t happen and the ball was eventually taken out of the helmet and the play resumed after checking Boult’s condition.
