Croatia International Player Ivan Perisic has now changed bases and will feature for Bayern Munich. The German club confirmed the move in a statement released on Tuesday.
The 30-year-old winger, who has featured for Inter Milan in as many as 141 encounters after he joined the club from Wolfsburg in 2015, will now consolidate a Bayern Munich attack which was looking a pale shadow of itself after Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery could no longer be part of the club.
“I’m very glad to be back in Germany. FC Bayern are one of the biggest clubs in Europe. We want to go on the attack, not only in the Bundesliga and the German Cup, but also in the Champions League,” Perisic said.
Sporting director of the German club, Hasan Salihamidzic, stated that Perisic had an enriching International experience and he also possessed remarkable technique and was also flexible in the attack.
Ivan donned the Croatia kit 82 times and also played a pivotal role in Croatia’s FIFA 2018 World cup campaign in which they reached the finals only to fall short of France.
