The 63rd edition of the Ballon d’Or awards will take place in the French capital of Paris on Tuesday. Barcelona star Lionel Messi and Portugal legend Cristiano Ronaldo are among of the favourites to win the Ballon d’Or 2018, even as Croatia’s World Cup hero Luka Modric is touted to end the two former players’ decade-long domination on the Golden Ball.

Other than, Messi, Ronaldo and Modric, France’s World Cup-winning stars are also top contenders for the Ballon d’Or this year.

Date: The 63rd edition of the Ballon d’Or will be held on Tuesday, December 4

Time: The Ballon d’Or 2018 ceremony is expected to start around 6:45 GMT which is at 12:15 AM in India

Venue: Paris

Hosts: Former Tottenham and France great David Ginola.
