Former Australian speedster Mitchell Johnson has taken a jibe at Indian skipper Virat Kohli after the later claimed that he would want a sledge-free summer in Down Under.
On Friday, Fox Sports Cricket tweeted the news about Kohli’s pre-departure press conference, where the 30-year-old Indian captain said his team would not to go out looking for trouble in Down Under, but if the Australians were aggressive in their approach, the Indian team would “give it back”.

“When it comes to getting engaged in an argument, or a fight, as people like to call it excitedly, I have been completely okay with playing without an altercation. At a personal level, I don’t need to find these things anymore. I have enough belief in my abilities that I can play without a reason to pump myself up,” Virat Kohli had said.
“We were always the ones giving it back. We were never the ones starting anything. So as long as it doesn’t start, we don’t have a problem in focussing on our game and just doing what we need to do,” he added.
Team India have left for Australia for their 64-days long tour starting November 21. India will play three-match T20I series against Australia followed by four-match Test and three-match ODI series.
