Australia batsman Steve Smith, who made a superb comeback to Test cricket post the sandpaper-gate incident last year, caught the attention of netizens with his unique style of batting during his innings against England in the 2nd Ashes Test.

On the 3rd day (Friday), Smith came in to bat when Australia were reeling at 60 for 2. Under tough conditions, once again the classy right-handed batsman emerged as a ray of hope for the Aussies and the 30-year-old was on the money.

Soon, rain interrupted the play and Smith returned 13 not out off 42 balls. More than the grittiness shown during his innings, it was the way the former Australia skipper left the balls that became the cynosure of all eyes.

Talking about the match, getting an invitation to bat first, England scored 258 runs, thanks to half-centuries from Rory Burns (53) and Jonny Bairstow (52) before getting bundled up. On Day 3, Australia were 80 for 4 before rain forced the match to be called off for the day.
