The latest buzz around the transfer market is that Barcelona are back in the market and are looking for another midfield option after signing Frenkie de Jong from Ajax in the summer transfer window.
Reports emerging from Spain are stating that Chelsea star N’Golo Kante is their next target. A report carried by Don Balon claims that Barcelona star Antoine Griezmann is apparently trying to convince the Chelsea star for a move to Barcelona. The report also adds that if Chelsea fail to qualify for the UEFA Champions League N’Golo Kante might consider moving away from Chelsea.

Notably, Barcelona already have a pretty good bunch of French players in their team with the likes of Griezmann, Clement Lenglet, Jean Clair Todibo, Samuel Umtiti and Ousmane Dembele already in their squad and now Griezmann is trying his level best to convince Kante to join them in Spain.
Meanwhile, Kante is facing an injury issue and will miss out on Chelsea’s next Champions League match against Ajax on Wednesday. Manager Frank Lampard has revealed that although he has resumed, he will miss out on the game against the Dutch side and there are still doubts regarding his availability for the Premier League encounter this weekend.
“N’Golo is training again but it’s not clear whether he will be fit for the weekend or not,” Lampard said in the pre-match conference.
