From politicians to writers to IPL franchises, fans from across sections took to different platforms of social media to hail the Indian captain on his record-breaking knock.
Record and Virat Kohli have been the most romantic couple of cricket in recent times and with yet another masterclass today the Indian captain seems to be in no interest to disrupt his love affair.
Kohli put on display a humongous effort for his unbeaten knock of 254 against South Africa in the second test of the three-match series at the MCA International Stadium in Pune. He showed immense determination and capitalised on the mistakes of the Proteas bowlers to hand them a miserable day at the office and register his personal best Test score.

Meanwhile, the cricket universe was left in utter disbelief by what Kohli did. Not only did the 30-year-old broke numerous records, but he also had the cricket fans gasping at him with astonishment.
