Health warning issued over flesh-eating ulcer in Australia
Health authorities in Australia's second-most populous state have issued a warning over the spread of a flesh-eating ulcer.
The Australian top order, especially the openers David Warner and Aaron Finch, have been in phenomenal form and that hasn’t allowed Carey to get many chances in the middle.
The first team to qualify for semifinals in ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 is Australia. The Aussies have played seven matches, tasting success in six of these – this takes them to 12 points on the points tally and a confirmed ticket to the semifinals.
It has been a total team effort which has helped the Kangaroos to do well in the tournament so far – while, the batsmen have contributed with runs, the bowlers have also been able to chip in with wickets at crucial stages. However, it is worth noting that the Australian squad also consists of a Aussie rule football player.

Playing the Cricket World Cup for Australia in England is a cricketer who was once a footballer.
This is Australia’s wicketkeeper-batsman Alex Carey. The left-handed batsman used to love football and also made it his career. Before being drafted into the team as a 20-year-old specialist batsman and wicketkeeper, Carey played Aussie rules football and featured in many leagues. He also went on to captain his side.
However, Carey later developed an interest in cricket. He chose cricket over his Aussie football career and achieved milestones one after the other.
Carey has faced many disappointments and rejections in his Aussie rules football career.
Has made 173 runs so far
Carey has made as many as 173 runs in the tournament. Although, he is a far better batsman than those numbers suggest, the southpaw hasn’t got as many opportunities to prove a point with the bat.
The Australian top order, especially the openers David Warner and Aaron Finch, have been in phenomenal form and that hasn’t allowed Carey to get many chances in the middle.
However, in the remaining matches, he could well make a difference.
Made his debut in 2018
Alex made his international debut in 2018. Last year in 2018, Alex played his first ODI against England. In 26 matches, he has scored 602 runs with a couple of half-centuries.
