Sinner leads Italy to Davis Cup semifinals; Australia edges past USA
Defending champions Italy advanced to the Davis Cup semifinals on Thursday after defeating Argentina 2-1, with world No 1 Jannik Sinner winning the singles and doubles match.
The team will head to the iconic Obelisk monument for a triumph walk at the Buenos Aires city center from Tuesday afternoon with millions of fans expected out in the streets on what is a public holiday.
A jubilant team of Lionel Messi have returned home after conquering the world in FIFA World Cup 2022. They arrived at the Buenos Aires Airport in the early hours of Tuesday morning from Qatar ahead of a welcome party scheduled at the national capital of Argentina.

A video of Messi stepping out of the plane with the World Cup trophy has surfaced on the Internet. He is seen carrying the trophy with him while he is coming out of the flight and being welcomed by thousands of supporters.
The men in blue and white stripes have beaten the defending champion France in a thriller final. The results of the nail-biting final that ended on a 3-3 score after the extra time were decided through a penalty shootout. Argentina snatched the win from the jaws of dangerous looking France in the penalties by 4-2.
Lionel Messi’s performance was spectacular throughout the tournament. He also scored 2 goals in the final match of the World Cup. Kylian Mbappe on the other hand single handedly kept France in the game as he scored a hat-trick. However, despite all the efforts by Mbappe, he could not end up on the winning side.
Destiny had decided to give a dream farewell to Lionel Messi who was playing his last World Cup match. He was also named Player of the Tournament as he scored a total of 7 goals with 2 of them coming in the final itself.
