Sharing pictures from the film’s official launch in Tamil Nadu, Aparshakti expressed his excitement about stepping into the world of Tamil films.
Pawan Kalyan’s character is introduced with a punchline: “You might have seen tigers that hunt goats. Now, you will see a royal tiger hunting other tigers.”
The incident traces back to the aftermath of the Hema Committee Report, which exposed widespread sexual harassment and abuse of power within the Malayalam film industry.
The film is helmed by '2018' director Jude Anthany Joseph and is being produced under the Ashirvad Cinemas banner by Antony Perumbavoor.
Chiranjeevi, who plays a pivotal and powerful role in the film, is said to be closely involved in the process and extremely pleased with how things are turning out.
Without referring to the row explicitly, Haasan thanked the people of Tamil Nadu for standing by him. “I should thank the entire state of Tamil Nadu which stood behind me."
The Bengaluru side, captained by Rajat Patidar, showed nerves of steel. Their bowlers delivered under pressure, limiting Punjab Kings to 184/7 and sealing a historic win.
The decision follows mounting protests over a comment Haasan made suggesting that Kannada evolved from Tamil, a remark that ignited widespread anger.
Originally slated for April 10, 2025, the film’s launch was postponed, but excitement is building as the official teaser is now confirmed to drop on June 16.
“From 'Nayakan' to 'Thug Life', we’ve travelled a long path together, not just as professionals, but as friends, family, and fellow dreamers,” Haasan wrote.
