There are nearly 200 countries in the world. Every country is different from the other, and each has its own specialties, cultures, cuisine and trademark qualities. Did you ever wonder what it would be like to live in these countries, or which country would be the best to live in?
InterNations, one of the largest expat network for people who live and work abroad, surveyed more than 14,000 respondents from 67 countries and territories in 2018 and revealed the secret.

It’s World Friendship Day on 5 August. Let’s have a look at 10 of the world’s friendliest countries to live.

10.New Zealand

A large majority of the expats living around the Kiwis, 75% of them reported that it was easy to fit into the new culture and over half said they planned to stay or return to this country. It is famous for its friendly and generous people along with breathtaking landscapes and sparkling lakes.
81% of the people have a friendly attitude towards expats and have an ease of making local friends. Out of which 45% of them would like to stay forever.
Providing best of both worlds, offering both quality of life and career progression. According to respondents, the locals are more likely to send their children to international schools.
7. Philippines

The country is friendly on wallets, with 47% of them report an increase in access to luxuries, including domestic staff, swimming pools and owning properties.
This Persian Gulf country boasts of having a friendly attitude towards expats and with 55% of them have an ease of making local friends.
4. Cambodia

92% of the respondents were reported having a friendly attitude towards the expats, whereas 23% of them would like to stay forever in this low- lying region of the South –East.
78% of the respondents are able to integrate well with the local community. This country also offers expats financial perks.
2. Taiwan

90% of expats in Taiwan has given the local residents high marks for hospitality, while compared to a combined average of 65 percent in the rest of the countries.

Bearing the title for the most welcoming country for expats, Portugal has a very friendly and helpful local population, with 58% respondents claiming that they have an ease of making local friends.
