Made of wheat flour and oatmeal, these cookies are very nutritious and delicious. Oats help protect your heart by lowering cholesterol levels. These cookies are maida-free but still so yummy. Oatmeal Choco chip cookies have lots of hidden goodness and taste having ground oats and Choco chips inside. Everyone in your home would love them as emergency snack-on-the-go. These cookies are like transportable oatmeal breakfast – oatmeal without a bowl.

Ingredients:

Butter: 2 cup

Sugar: 2 cup

Brown sugar: 2 cup

Eggs: 4

Wheat flour: 4 cups

Oatmeal: 5 cups (grind it to a fine powder)

Salt: 1 tsp

Baking powder: 2 tsp

Baking soda: 2 tsp

Choco chips: 24 oz

Hershey bar: 80 oz (grated)

Nuts: 3 cups (chopped)

Method:

Blend butter, sugar and brown sugar to a creamy paste. Add eggs and vanilla essence. Mix well. Mix together the flour, ground oatmeal, salt, baking powder and baking soda. Add Choco chips, grated chocolate and chopped nuts. Roll in to balls and place two inches apart on a cookie sheet. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes at 375 degree c. These cookies do not shape themselves into normal cookie shape. How they are placed on the cookie sheet is how they will come out. Flatten them down with the back of a metal spoon and shape them into round cookies. Dunk them in milk, tea or coffee, they are hard to resist.
