Naan khatai is a sweet delicacy that you won’t be able to resist. So be prepared to get baking. The main part of this recipe involves kneading the dough well so that your naan khatais can be made fluffy.

Preparation time: 30 minutes
Baking time: 30 minutes
Ingredients:
Maida 2 cups
Sugar 1 cup (grinded and sieved)
Pure ghee 1 cup
Meetha soda 1 tsp (levelled)
Almonds 15-20
Method:
Sieve maida and baking powder together.
Put grinded and sieved sugar in it and mix well.
Add ghee and knead the dough well till it becomes soft and smooth (for half an hour at least).
Make small round balls out of this dough.
Decorate these balls placing and pressing an almond at the centre.
Preheat oven at 180 degree C for 10 minutes.
Place naan khatais in a flat greased baking dish giving enough space between them so that they can expand to their fullest on baking.
Put the baking dish in oven and let the khatais bake till they start cracking from top.
Naan khatai is a real treat to your mouth as well as eyes. Worth trying!
