Ayurvedic drinks: Stay cool and beat the heat the right way

Hot days are on, and they call for frosty drinks. It’s weekend again – time to chill with the frizzy alcohol-free refreshing drink- lemon soda. Soda 6 bottles (300 ml chilled)
Vanilla ice cream 1 lire brick
For syrup: Water 2 cups, Sugar 1 ½ cups, Lemon essence 3-4 tsp, Lemon juice 4 tsp, Green food colour ½ tsp
Method:
To prepare syrup, boil sugar and water together for five to seven minutes on low flame. Remove from fire and let it cool.
Add lemon essence, green colour and lemon juice. Mix well and chill the syrup in refrigerator.
While serving, take eight tall glasses.
Put four to five tablespoons of syrup in each glass.
Put one ice cream scoop in each and stir well.
Put another ice cream scoop and don’t stir it.
Pour soda in each glass.
Stir once and serve with a long spoon and a straw.
You can fix a lemon wedge at the rim of the glass to make it look more tempting.
