“Here’s for you! I made it myself,” a little girl said as she walked up to me, brimming with a smile, and handed me a small pretty posy of wild flowers.
The posy was tied with a strip of green grass and it had pink, yellow and violet blooms.

Things to keep in mind when gifting flowers to someone
Favourite flowers: Instead of gifting roses all the time or picking up random flowers, it is always better to find the favourite flower of the person you are gifting it to.
Favourite colour: If favourite flowers are hard to find, choose the person’s favourite colour or a mix of colours.
Mild scent: While some like it strong, some simply cannot stand it. The person you are gifting flowers to may be allergic to pollen or certain flower fragrance. So, to be on the safer side, it is always wise to choose flowers with mild fragrance.
Fresh flowers: Always look out for fresh flowers, as artificial flowers may put off some people. Some belief artificial flowers bring bad luck. The beauty of fresh flowers always liven up a soul.
Personal touch: When you are gifting flowers, make sure to give your personal touch to the arrangement of the bouquet. Always hand pick the flowers and the ribbons. Place a sweet and simple note on the bouquet. Keeping it simple helps to maintain the natural beauty.
Strong stem: To ensure the flowers do not wilt too soon and stay fresh for a longer time, choose flowers with strong stem, wet the stem and sprinkle some moisture on the flowers too
