Rajit Kumra is a celebrated name in Bollywood and Punjabi film industry who has been working in the industry for almost 20 years now. He has tried his hand in almost every field to be a one-stop-shop for any talent and holds great expertise in talent management and business development of films, television, and advertising. His career began in 1999 when he conceived annual fashion shows for INIFD in his hometown Chandigarh. Later in 2000, he moved to Mumbai and became Personal Assistant to Ex-Miss Universe/ actor Sushmita Sen. The years 2001 and 2002 saw him working as an entertainment reporter for Star Plus and along with it he also did post-production for programs on B4U channel. He has also assisted Bollywood directors like Arjun Sablok, Naresh Malhotra, Farah Khan, and Anees Bazmee. In 2007, he discovered his new interest in styling and he worked as a costume stylist for the comedy show The Great Indian Laughter Challenge and soon after worked as a stylist for several Hindi and Punjabi feature films. He has also styled various celebrities over the years for red carpet events and photoshoots.

At the end of 2007 he realised what his true calling was and that was to be an independent Talent Agent and started to manage fashion designer Neeta Lulla and makeup artist Cory Walia. He worked closely with multiple brands like Lakme, Pantaloons, Absolute, Tata Sky, Dabur and many more to name a few endorsements, films, and shows for them. After gaining a good experience for a few years, he started working with Yash Raj Films Talent Division where he headed his post as associate head of talent management from 2010 to 2011. 2011 to 2015 saw him working at Talent Mantra where he handled celebrities like Abhay Deol, Chitrangda Singh, Huma Qureshi, Shruti Haasan, Aditi Rao Hydari, Shakti Mohan among others. Right from public relations to image building, he takes care of everything on how to give celebrities a perfect platform to pursue their career in films.

Presently, he works as an independent Talent Agent with various artists and also sets up films for various production houses, last being Punjabi film Nikka Zaildar 3 for Viacom 18. His last outing as an agent was with filmmaker Anees Bazmee where he worked with him on Pagalpanti. He streamlined his future projects and set up his production house. His past clientele includes Sonam Bajwa, Kulraj Randhawa, Aditi Sharma, Wamiqa Gabbi, Mandy Takhar, and Parul Gulati from Hindi and Punjabi film industries and has also been a consultant to actors Shraddha Kapoor and Diljit Dosanjh. Moreover, Rajit has a great track record of completing projects on schedule taken by his talent. He has recognised many deserving talents and brought them in the limelight in the past and hopes to do that in the future as well. Being a motivational force, Rajit has always encouraged his talent and helped them feature on the covers of popular magazines and publications.

Besides being a Talent Agent, he is also a marketing and PR expert who has worked for many Punjabi films like ‘SardaarJi2’ and ‘Channa Mereya’ to name a few. He also blogs on Punjabi film fraternity and reviews their films. He’s also considering to start his own chat show dedicated to the Punjabi film fraternity.
