Pasha Eshghi receives worldwide appreciation for his filmmaking style

Pasha Eshghi is an emerging name in the film business. He was born in Vancouver, British Columbia where he attended Collingwood School for 12 years. After that, he did a course of film production from The University of British Columbia. During his last semester in 2015, he produced and directed SWERVE, an action/comedy web series about a limo driver and his adventures with his passengers. The web series comprised of six episodes and had Alexander Ludwig in it. The young filmmaker cites the production of SWERVE and says that he faced a lot of challenges to secure its distribution which was a great learning experience at the start of his career.

In 2017, he collaborated with Paul Bissonnette and came up with ‘BizNasty Does BC’, a Canadian web series on British Columbia whilst having 17 past and present NHL stars in it. The president of Barstool Sports David Portnoy was so impressed after viewing the series that he insisted Eshghi to release it on his network. After negotiations for several months, the series was sold to Barstool Sports and it was distributed across their platforms in early 2018.

Apart from being a filmmaker, Pasha Eshghi has also appeared on screen as himself throughout the series. This is not the first time he was seen in the front of the camera. He played the character of an airline captain in SWERVE. Apart from this, the 26-year old filmmaker has been a part of a series of skits which aired on Sportsnet where he impersonated the very famous Roberto Luongo. In late 2018, he made a deal with NHL and came up with ‘NHL First Timer’ – a five episodes series where people from different walks of life are taken to their first hockey games to make them hockey fans.
