Yogi greets eight Padma awardees from UP

The seven personalities, including former president of the Sahitya Akademi Prof. Vishwanath Prasad Tiwari, who have made outstanding contributions in the fields of art, literature and education, medicine, science, and social work, will be conferred the ‘Padma Shri’.

Congratulating eight personalities from Uttar Pradesh whose names have been announced for the Padma awards, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed happiness over the their achievements for which they have been selected for the country’s top civilian honour.

Yogi Adityanath tweeted on Wednesday night: “Hearty congratulations to all the eight personalities of UP who have been honored with the prestigious ‘Padma Award’!”

He further wrote in his tweet: “Your outstanding contributions in a variety of fields have made the state proud on the national and international levels. Your dedication towards the goal is exemplary. Congratulations to all of you!”

Former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav has been honoured with the Padma Vibhushan posthumously. The seven personalities, including former president of the Sahitya Akademi Prof. Vishwanath Prasad Tiwari, who have made outstanding contributions in the fields of art, literature and education, medicine, science, and social work, will be conferred the ‘Padma Shri’.
