Opposition blames Yogi govt for death of 10 newborns in Jhansi hospital

In order to make Uttar Pradesh a trillion-dollar economy, the Yogi Adityanath government in UP approved a new ‘Uttar Pradesh Warehousing and Logistics Policy-2022’. The decision was taken in the cabinet meeting held here on Thursday. This policy will be effective for the next five years.
A state government spokesperson said this policy has been made with a view to develop the logistics ecosystem in the state to create an international-level business environment. “With the successful implementation of this policy, the target of making the state’s economy one trillion dollars will be achieved,” he said.
The new policy is to create a strong transport infrastructure network, upgrade and improve existing warehousing and logistics infrastructure, encourage integrated development of logistics services in the state to reduce logistics costs and improve efficiency.

Under the new policy, there is a provision for fast track land allotment for logistics parks, development of specified logistics zones as well as incentive scheme.
Under the incentive scheme, the logistics infrastructure facilities are covered under 3 heads which include, one warehousing facilities such as warehouses, silos and cold chain facilities, two logistics parks and dry ports including multimodal parks, inland container depots, container freight stations including air freight stations and three other facilities, such as truck lay-bays, private freight terminals, private berthing terminals and inland vessels, and provision of attractive incentives and incentives.
In another decision, the cabinet has approved the guidelines related to the implementation of ‘Mukhya Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana’ and has also authorized the Chief Minister to amend the guidelines of the scheme.
The ‘Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana’ has been implemented by the Government of India from May 20, 2020, in order to substantially increase the fish production and bring qualitative development in the condition of fishermen community and fish farmers.
“As about 39 lakh fishermen in the state get livelihood from the fisheries sector, a new state scheme in the form of ‘Chief Minister Matsya Sampada Yojana’ is being proposed by the state government for the economic and social upliftment of the local fish farmers living in the rural areas,” the spokesman said.
