World’s highest polling station in Himachal Pradesh, Tashigang village recorded 100 percent voting on Saturday for the Assembly elections.
The polling Booth witnessed all registered voters turning up to vote.
The village located at a height of 15,256 feet above sea-level is in Lahaul and Spiti district of the state.
The battle in the Lahaul and Spiti Assembly segment is between BJP’s candidate Ram Lal Markanda, Congress candidate Ravi Thakur and APP’s candidate Sudershan Jaspa.
Deputy District Returning Officer, Abhishek Verma said, ” We have been successful to turn this world’s highest polling station into a model polling station. The Tashigang polling station witnessed 100 percent voting. The natives came dressed up in traditional attire to vote.”

Appealing to the voters to vote for Congress in upcoming assembly elections, the AICC president said that he had got feedback that Congress will be forming the next government.
The AICC General Secretary pitched for a change of government in Himachal, questioning the presence of the double-engine government.
