SP members wore ‘kurtas’ against the government
The Winter Session of Uttar Pradesh Legislature started on Tuesday. Both the Houses were adjourned for the day after paying customary condolences to the departed souls. Tomorrow, the state government will table the first supplementary budget grants along six Bills.
Before the start of the session, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath appealed to the opposition MLAs to cooperate in the proceedings of the House and said that the government is ready to answer all the questions of the opposition.
However, the principal opposition Samajwadi Party members opposed the new rules of the House, which ban mobile phones, play cards and other things inside the House.

The slogans include “Yogi government come to your senses,” “UP has become a jungle raj”-” Where is Yogi Maharaj sleeping?” and ” Law and order has collapsed in the state.”
Talking to media before the session, the CM said that the state government is ready for discussions on overall development, public welfare, issues related to public interest and resolution of public problems during the forthcoming Winter session of the House, adding that all the members of different political parties have been invited for a meaningful discussion on the topic.
“Our government is fully prepared to answer all the questions of the members and is ready to discuss all the issues related to development of Uttar Pradesh,” he said.
Emphasizing the importance of the House as a crucial platform to address issues concerning the general public and draw the government’s attention towards them, the Chief Minister expressed the confidence that all members, considering the sentiments of the common people, would contribute towards making the House a center for healthy discussions.
