TN Electricity Minister denies commercial ties with Adani conglomerate
This is the first reaction of the DMK government following the indictment of the Adani conglomerate in a US court.
The Chhattisgarh CM said this while addressing party workers during a ‘Raj Bhavan March’ against the Modi Government.
Pointing out that there is uproar over the Adani episode in the entire country, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel wondered why the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has not taken any action against the person who devoured thousands of crores of country’s money.
The statement from Bhupesh Baghel came in the wake of intermittent ED raids in the state.
“Adani ji, who used to be at the number 100, had come to the second number in a few days. Adani’s shares started falling immediately after Hindenburg’s report and his stock started falling like a pack of cards. But the government continues to ignore it,” Baghel said while addressing party workers during their ‘Raj Bhavan March’ against the Modi Government as part of the Congress’ agitation across the country.

Hundreds of Congress leaders and workers including PCC President Mohan Markam participated in this demonstration and submitted a memorandum to the Governor Bishwa Bhushan Harichandan.
AICC state in-charge Kumari Selja, in her address, said that today India’s head is down in the whole world. Everyone had a doubt when it was declared that Adani became the second richest person in our country. How he could get there in such a short time, she asked.
Selja alleged that Congress leaders including Rahul Gandhi are raising questions in and outside of the parliament, but not a single question has been answered. Statements of the leaders were expunged, the voice of the media and the opposition are being suppressed in the country, she added.
Hailing the Chhattisgarh government, the Congress leader said that the ED, IT and CBI have been deployed here because the state government is doing good work and the central government is scared of the success of the Chhattisgarh government, it has gone berserk.
