JD Vance sworn-in as 50th Vice President of United States
JD Vance on Monday took oath as the 50th Vice President of the United States at the US Capitol Rotunda in Washington DC.
Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu on Tuesday extended his greetings to the nation on the occasion of Maha Shivratri, the festival celebrating the wedding of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati.
In a series of the tweet, Vice President Naidu said, ”Dear Sisters and brothers across the world, I convey my greetings to devotees all over the world who are celebrating the Mahashivaratri Festival. This is an occasion to pray, to meditate and derive renewed energy to do good. #MahaShivaratri.”

Millions of devotees across the country are celebrating the festival, considered to be one of the holiest by the Hindu community, by singing hymns and prayers, to seek Lord Shiva’s blessings.
Temples too are witnessing long lines of devotees since early morning to offer prayers, flowers and fruits.
