PM Modi virtually flags off 6 Vande Bharat trains at Tatanagar Junction Railway Station
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday flagged off six Vande Bharat trains at Tatanagar Junction Railway Station in Jharkhand via video conferencing.
Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, has given a target of running 400 Vande Bharat trains and the Railways was working round the clock to achieve the target.
Railway minister, Ashwini Vaishnav, has said that the Railways were considering to have sleeper coach facilities in the VVIP semi high speed Vande Bharat Express trains.
Vaishnav, who was on a 2 days visit to Varanasi on Saturday, told media that now the Vande Bharat Express train would also have the facility of sleeper coaches. But work for manufacturing of these sleeper coaches would start only after one year.
He said that in future, the Vande Bharat trains would also be running for long distances like Rajdhani trains after introducing sleeper coaches.
According to him, Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, has given a target of running 400 Vande Bharat trains and to achieve this, the Railways was working round the clock.
On the question of running bullet train from Varanasi, the Railway Minister said that the works were in progress.
” We are learning new techniques. The progress of running the first bullet train in India is very good and work on the new bullet train corridor will start soon,” he added.
The Railway Minister had announced the Kashi Tamil Sangamam Express to run in between Kashi and Tamil Nadu daily.
