Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Tourism Development Board R S Bali announced the launch of the Himachal Pradesh Tourism Vande Bharat bus service on March 9.

Addressing media persons on Friday, he said that this inaugural service aims to cater to tourists arriving by Vande Bharat train to Kangra district.

The Volvo category Vande Bharat bus service will start from Palampur at 8.00 am and terminate at Amb in the Una district en route to Nagrota and Kangra, he said, adding that it will depart from Amb at 11.30 am to Kangra and back to Palampur.

In addition to this, in a gesture of appreciation towards the nation’s soldiers all current and ex-servicemen from the state will be entitled to a 50 per cent discount on their stays in state tourism hotels for eight months, and a 30 per cent discount for the remaining four months, March, April, May, and June, he announced.

Furthermore, soldiers will avail a 30 per cent discount on food expenses, he added.

He also made an announcement for accredited journalists across the state, who can avail 50 per cent discount on accommodation in state tourism hotels for eight months and a 30 per cent discount for the remaining four months, March, April, May, and June.

Additionally, the journalists will also be provided a 30 per cent discount on food.

Bali emphasised that these announcements are poised to benefit numerous tourists, citizens, soldiers, and registered journalists in Himachal Pradesh.

He expressed gratitude towards the Chief Minister for his continuous support and guidance in the government’s endeavours towards public welfare.
