Recruitment of forest inspectors fair and transparent: Yogi
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath distributed appointment letters to 701 newly selected forest inspectors through the Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC).
If the proposal is approved by the State Government, for every 100 km, the fare will go up by Rs 25.
The Uttar Pradesh State Roadways Transport Corporation (UPSRTC), has sent a proposal to the State Government to hike the bus fare to cover up their losses due to rise in the petrol and diesel prices apart from the maintenance cost.
According to information, the UPSRTC, which runs 12,000 buses inside the State, has recommended a hike in bus fare at the rate of 25 paise per km. If it is approved, for every 100 km, the fare will go up by Rs 25.
At present the fare of ordinary bus is Rs 1.05 per km, which will go up to Rs 1.30 in the State.

However the ball is now in the State Government’s court, which will take the final call.
Sanjay Kumar, the Managing Director of the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation, said on Sunday that they have a proposal to improve the bus services in the State. He said that the bus fare has not increased since 2020.
According to Kumar, diesel prices are rising and spare parts have also become costlier and that the loss of roadways is increasing and by March, 2023 it will be around Rs 250 crore.
