Uttar Pradesh cabinet Minister for Minorities’ Welfare Om Prakash Rajbhar has been re-elected national president of the Suhaldev Bharatiya Samaj Party( SBSP) here on Monday.

Omprakash Rajbhar, after meeting with all the office bearers, announced the new election symbol of the party ‘Chabhi’ ( Key). Earlier the election symbol of the party was ‘ Stick’.

The SBSP, a constituent of the NDA in Uttar Pradesh, in its important meeting of the workers here unanimously elected Omprakash Rajbhar as the National President and Dr. Arvind Rajbhar was declared as the National Principal General Secretary and National Treasurer.

Along with this, national chief spokesperson Arun Rajbhar, state president and district heads of 25 districts and officials of various fronts and cells were also announced.

The party has six members in the state assembly and one member in the Legislative Council.

Addressing a meeting, the national president of Suhaldev Bharatiya Samaj Party called it a party of the poor, the deprived, the backward, the Dalits, the minorities and the victims. Therefore, supporters of SBSP should cooperate with all their heart, mind and money and play an active role in the party’s movement.

While infusing enthusiasm among the officials and workers, he said that at present Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party has its influence not only in the politics of Uttar Pradesh but also in the politics of Bihar state. The party will contest strongly in the upcoming assembly elections in Bihar.

Om Prakash Rajbhar appealed to the party workers and officials to start preparations for the District Panchayat and upcoming Assembly elections to be held in 2026. He said that all party officials and workers should work to strengthen the organization up to the booth level by spreading the party’s policies and principles to the people of the state.

He said the SBSP has been working for the last twenty years to implement caste census, Rohini Commission report, Social Justice Committee report, uniform compulsory free education, free health facility, police reforms, inclusion of Bhar/Rajbhar in Scheduled Tribe in UP.

The minorities’ welfare minister, while pointing towards the preparations to start a new system of recognition of madrassas in the state, said, “Our effort is to open two universities.We want to affiliate the State Madrassa Education Board with the university and all the madrassas will be recognized there (from the university), so that there is no dispute in future.Giving examples, he said, “Lucknow University, Purvanchal University, Shakuntala University are in front of you, from where many schools are run. If Madrassas were run from the universities like this, then this misery would not have happened today. Neither SP could do it, neither Congress nor BSP could do it.”

Party’s National General Secretary and Chief National Spokesperson Arun Rajbhar said that a state level membership campaign was conducted for the last one month. Under the campaign, a large number of people in the entire state have been influenced by the ideology of the party and have joined the party and become active members. Only these active members have been given the main responsibilities of the party. He said that the active membership campaign will continue at the village level and only these active members will be given major responsibilities in future also.
