CM declares ‘The Sabarmati Report’ tax-free in Uttar Pradesh
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath attended a special screening of the film The Sabarmati Report at Palassio Mall on Thursday.
The deals signed by the state government at the UPGIS surpass the target of 1.25 lakh crore.
Out of more than 19,000 MoUs signed by the Uttar Pradesh government headed by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath through the recently concluded Uttar Pradesh Global Investors’ Summit, more than 9,000 belong to the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector.
The investment will create employment for 18 lakh youths of the state.
Against the target of Rs 1.25 lakh crore set for the MSME sector through the UPGIS 2023, the government has signed 8,829 MoUs worth Rs 1.37 lakh crore with investors, which is close to 110 percent of the given target, officials here on Thursday claimed.

It is worth mentioning here that as many as 95 lakh MSME units are currently registered in the state and this number is set to increase significantly with these investment deals achieved by the Yogi Government. The Government held roadshows and meetings with investors in various countries and states as well as in divisions and districts within UP in the run up to the summit to achieve this historic feat.
According to the information received, as many as 6,212 MoUs have been signed under MSME whose investment amount is less than Rs 10 crore. The MoUs will bring a total investment of Rs 26,124 crore to the state.
Besides, 938 MoUs with an investment range between Rs 10 to Rs 20 crore have also been signed, which will bring an investment of Rs 15,341 crore to the state. A total of 451 MoUs with an investment range between Rs 20 crore to 30 crore have been signed, totaling Rs 11,956 crore.
Apart from that, 213 MoUs worth between Rs 30 crore to Rs 40 crore and totalling Rs 7,931 crore have also been signed, in addition to 894 MoUs worth Rs 40 to 50 crores, totalling an investment of Rs 43,890 crore. A total of 8,708 MoUs have been signed for investments up to Rs 50 crore and through this a total investment of Rs 105,242 crore will be made in the state.
In all, 121 MoUs have been signed for investments above Rs 50 crores through which an investment of Rs 32,312 crore is to be made in the state. An investment of Rs 5,341 crore is possible in the state through 65 MoUs between Rs 50 crore and Rs 100 crore. There is a possibility of investment of Rs 4,984 crore in 33 MoUs between Rs100 to Rs 200 crore.
An investment of Rs 3,391 can be made through 13 MoUs ranging between Rs 200 and Rs 500 crores. On the other hand, through the 10 MoUs above Rs 500 crore, an investment of Rs 18,596 crore will be made in the state.
