The recent appointment of Sanjay Malhotra as Governor of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), replacing Shaktikanta Das, signals a pivotal shift in India’s monetary policy dynamics.

As per the data, the death toll in the pandemic rose to 5,33,441 as two more succumbed to the disease. Karnataka and Kerala reported one death each.
On a positive note, 303 people recovered from the disease during the aforementioned period, taking the total recovery to 4,44,89,023.
The active cases in the country stand at 1,886.
