Army begins verification patrolling at Depsang: MEA
The Indian Army has commenced verification patrolling at Depsang, the second friction point between India and China in eastern Ladakh, according to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).
Two militants were killed on Saturday in a gunfight with the security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Based on specific intelligence inputs about the presence of militants in Litter village the security forces had launched an early morning operation, a police officer said.
When the hiding militants fired at the approaching security personnel the gun battle was triggered in which the two were killed.

The operation was still on, the officer said.
