Mercury rises by 2 degrees in Delhi
The national capital saw a surge of 2 degrees Celsius in the minimum temperature in the past 24-hours on Monday, the weather department said.
Traffic restrictions were imposed on the Delhi-National Capital Region (NCR), as some roads were closed for a short period on Wednesday.
Vehicles were diverted to clear passage to ASEAN leaders who arrived in New Delhi for the Summit. Commuters travelling to Delhi from Gurgaon and Dwarka were stuck in traffic due to VIP movement and the security arrangements put in place by Delhi Police ahead of the Republic Day.
Earlier on Tuesday, the Delhi Traffic Police has urged Google Maps to inform commuters about the traffic restrictions and alternative routes that can be availed on Republic Day.

The restrictions will continue until the visiting leaders travel from the airport to their hotels in Lutyens’ Delhi.
Vehicular traffic along S Subramaniam Bharti Marg, Dhaula Kuna, Sardar Patel Marg, Man Singh Road, Nyaya Marg, Shanti Path will be affected due to VIP movement.
Commuters travelling towards south Delhi will also get affected because of VIP movements in these stretches.
Delhi Traffic department has advised the commuters to start their journey 30-40 minutes before their scheduled time during the peak hours and 15-20 minutes during non-peak hours on Wednesday.
All the ASEAN leaders will attend as chief guest in Republic Day Parade.
