In the wake of killing of a tourist due to stone pelting in Srinagar, Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Tuesday met Governor NN Vohra at the Raj Bhavan in Srinagar and discussed the issue with him.
During the course of their hour and a half long meeting, Governor Vohra and Chief Minister Mufti discussed various important matters relating to counter-terrorist operations; continuing incidents of stone pelting; the death of a tourist and other concerns.

They also discussed the growing radicalisation and its grave impact in the educational sector.
Governor also spoke to CM Mufti about certain issues relating to the Prime Minister’s forthcoming visits to Ladakh, Kashmir and Jammu regions.
On 7 May, a 22-year-old tourist from Tamil Nadu died here this evening when a mob went on the rampage near Narbal on the outskirts of the city, police said.
R Thirumani, a resident of Chennai, suffered head injuries after being hit by a stone during the rampage in the morning, a police official said.
The tourist was taken to the SKIMS hospital at Soura, where he succumbed to injuries.
