MP tops in sickle cell mission, achieves 100% target
Madhya Pradesh has earned the distinction in the screening of sickle cell disease and distribution of sickle cell cards in the country.
“We came to know that Shubham Baghel had stopped one woman and two men yesterday. Baghel, along with his four to five friends had beaten up the men,” said GS Uikey, the local police official.
In news coming from Seoni, Madhya Pradesh, three Muslim youths, including a woman, were, on Friday, allegedly thrashed by cow vigilantes mercilessly with sticks on the suspicion of carrying beef in an auto-rickshaw.
According to the police, the five accused have been arrested.

Ram Sena leader Shubham Baghel has been identified as one of the accused, say the police.

“We came to know that Shubham Baghel had stopped one woman and two men yesterday. Baghel, along with his four to five friends had beaten up the men. The video of the incident had gone viral on social media. We have registered a case against all the accused and five people have been arrested. They all will be sent to judicial remand soon,” said GS Uikey, the local police official.
The official also told ANI that Baghel had earlier been booked for his involvement in similar cases.
An investigation is underway into the matter.
