Delhi Police unearth syndicate behind illegal trade in high-end cigarette brands
With the arrest of four accused, the Delhi Police claimed to have unearthed a syndicate involved in the illegal trade of international cigarette brands.
Robbed items of the victim have been recovered from the accused and further legal action is being taken.
Three juveniles, who committed a daylight robbery by attacking a youth with a knife in the North Delhi, have been apprehended by the Sarai Rohilla Police, after chasing the accused with the help of more than 20 CCTV cameras.

Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (North Delhi), Dr Rashmi Sharma Yadav said that on the eve of Christmas one boy named Kaushal (18), a resident of Shastri Nagar, made a complaint about robbery by four errant boys. He said that two of the accused caught him from behind, while the third boy attacked him with a knife and robbed him of his mobile, cash and other belongings before fleeing from the spot.

The injured was taken to Deep Chand Bandhu Hospital for treatment.
A case under relevant sections was registered at Sarai Rohilla Police Station and investigation was taken up.
A police team conducted a technical investigation and analysed more than 20 CCTV cameras installed in the vicinity of the place of the incident and the possible routes followed by the culprits. The team eventually succeeded in identifying all the accused persons through CCTV footage and caught them after conducting raids at various locations.
All the accused are found to be between the age of 16 and 17 years. The robbed mobile phone and knife used in the commission of offence has been recovered.
Further raids are being conducted to nab the fourth accused namely Kunain.
