RJD leader Tej Pratap Yadav was injured in an accident on Friday near Patna’s Eco Park.

Tej Pratap, the older son of jailed RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, was travelling in a Maruti Brezza car when it was rammed by a speeding vehicle coming from the other side.

The accident left five others injured. Tej Pratap was injured in the leg.

According to the police, “Tej Pratap Yadav was going from his official residence towards his party office with an aide, when their speeding car collided with another car coming from the opposite direction near the busy Eco Park area.”

The aide of the Bihar Health Minister was critically injured. The rest received minor injuries.  All the injured have been rushed to the hospital.

Reports say that both vehicles were moving at high speeds. Both the vehicles were badly damaged in the incident.

This is the second time Tej Pratap met with an accident. In June 2018, he fell from a cycle during a ‘cycle yatra’ to protest against the rising petrol and diesel prices across the country.

The incident was recorded by onlookers on the mobile cameras. Tej Pratap’s aides and security men rushed to help him.
