Mayawati comes out with new slogan against BJP- SP in UP
Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) Mayawati too jumped into the ' Batoge to Katoge ' slogan controversy.
Swami sent a resignation letter to SP President Akhilesh Yadav and shared it on social media.
After creating one controversy after another by attacking Sanatan Dharma and the BJP, Samajwadi Party general secretary and MLC Swami Prasad Maurya resigned from the party post on Tuesday.
Swami sent a resignation letter to SP President Akhilesh Yadav and shared it on social media.
In his letter, Maurya wrote, “Ever since I joined the Samajwadi Party, I have continuously tried to increase its support base. On the day of joining SP, I had given the slogan ‘Eighty-five is ours, there is division even among 15’. Our great men had also drawn a similar line. Baba Saheb Dr. Ambedkar, the creator of the Indian Constitution, talked about ‘Bahujan Hitay Bahujan Sukhay’, while Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia said that ‘Socialists tied the knot, backward class got sixty out of a hundred. Similarly, the great leader of social change Kashiram Saheb also had the slogan “85 versus 15”.

He further wrote: “Without any demand, you sent me to the Legislative Council and immediately after that you made me the national general secretary, thank you very much for this honour.”
“To give a solid support base to the party, I suggested to you in January-February 2023 that caste-wise census should be conducted, reservation of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and backward classes should be saved, unemployment and rising inflation, problems of farmers and providing remunerative prices, democracy and to save the Constitution and the national assets of the country. In protest against being sold to private hands, a proposal was made to organize a Rath Yatra for a state-wide tour program, to which you agreed and said, “This Yatra will be organized after Holi,” he said in the letter.
He rued, “Despite the assurance, no positive result came. As per the intention of the leadership, I did not consider it appropriate to say it again. I continued the process of increasing the party’s support base in my own way. In this sequence, I brought back the respect and self-respect of the tribals, Dalits, and backward classes who knowingly or unknowingly got trapped in the BJP’s web and joined the BJP.”
“When some junior and some big leaders of the party tried,” Maurya said in adding “this is a personal statement” in a bid to blunt this edge.
On the contrary, many FIRs were lodged against me by those in power, but I continued with my campaign without worrying about my safety.
“I was surprised when the senior leader of the party, instead of remaining silent, tried to break the morale of the workers by saying a personal statement of Maurya ji. I could not understand that I am a National General Secretary, whose statement becomes a personal statement and there are some other national general secretaries and leaders whose every statement is of the party,” he questioned.
“If there is discrimination even in the post of national general secretary, then I think there is no justification for continuing in such a discriminatory and unimportant post. Therefore, I am resigning from the post of national general secretary of the Samajwadi Party, please accept it.”
He concluded his letter by writing, “I will be ready to strengthen the party even without the post. Thank you very much for the respect, affection, and love given by you.”
