National human rights institutions from nine countries to hold meet in Delhi from Monday
The six-day meet is being organised by the National Human right Commission (NHRC) in collaboration with the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).
A joint ministerial meeting will be held to discuss cooperation on various matters concerning both nations.
External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj is scheduled to visit the Maldives on Sunday on a two-day official visit that is expected to boost India’s ties with the island nation.
During the visit, she will call on President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, Speaker of Parliament and Jumhooree Party leader Qasim Ibrahim, and the Foreign Minister.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Maldives, both governments will discuss ongoing and future bilateral arrangements, including the implementation of agreed outcomes during President Solih’s state visit to India.
In this regard, it is expected that discussions will focus on development cooperation, cooperation in the field of health, and enhancing people-to-people relationships.
