'Border 2' is an upcoming patriotic action film starring Sunny Deol and Varun Dhawan, set against the backdrop of the 1999 Kargil War. Releasing on January 23, 2026.
A column of Indian Army was attacked by unidentified insurgents of NSCN(K) group along the Myanmar border on Wednesday. The Army retaliated and caused heavy damage to the insurgent group, leaving many insurgents dead.

In 2015, the NSCN(K) had attacked a convoy of 6 Dogra regiment, in which 18 soldiers were killed. In June, India conducted surgical strikes against insurgent camps along the Indo-Myanmar international border, and inflicted significant casualties on the outfit.
The NSCN(K) has been designated a terrorist outfit in India under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967.
