IAF MiG-29 fighter crashes in Barmer, pilot ejects safely
An MiG-29 fighter plane, on a routine night training mission, crashed in Rajasthan's Barmer late on Monday after a snag, but the pilot managed to ejected safely, the Indian Air Force said.
A Sukhoi-30MKI fighter plane has crashed near Shivkar Kurla area in Barmer of Rajasthan while on a routine sortie on Wednesday. Reports suggests that while the pilots are safe, three villagers have been injured.
The incident occurred near Shivkar village in Sadar police station area in Barmer," Additional SP Rameshwar Lal was quoted as saying to a news agency.

"Villagers told us that the pilot ejected shortly before the crash. Air Force officials have been informed about the incident," he said, adding, that the crash had caused damage to a hamlet.

"One Narayan Ram, his daughter in law and minor grandson were injured in the crash. They have been admitted to the district hospital," Circle Officer Barmer OP Ujjwal was quoted as saying to a news agency.
The incident comes on the day a Chetak helicopter toppled in Allahabad.
