The State Vigilance Academy (SVA), Bhubaneswar, a premier anti-corruption training academy and the first of its kind in the country, has been awarded ISO Certification for three years till December 2025, the vigilance directorate said on Thursday.
Based on the quality of training on anti-corruption laws and infrastructure, the Academy has received the prestigious certification for the second time.
The Academy has been functioning since 20 November, 2018 and has been conducting training for all India/state Civil Service Cadre officers.
During the year 2018 to 2021, the Academy conducted 47 training courses and 1,279 officers from various cadres of Central and State Government have attended the training.
In the year 2022, 388 Officers from various cadres of Central and State Government, State Prosecution Service, Vigilance Inspectors, Vigilance Sub-Inspectors, Vigilance Assistant Sub Inspectors attended the training/workshops on Anti-Corruption Laws and Preventive Vigilance.
The Odisha Vigilance aims to strengthen the State Vigilance Academy (SVA) as a repository of knowledge in the field of anti-corruption, transparency and good governance.
The goal is to turn SVA into a platform for niche research and to disseminate evidence based knowledge and solutions to institutions to strengthen their preventive vigilance structures and prevent leakages as well as address corruption in the field of governance.
