SP takes the lead, announces 16 candidates for LS polls in UP
The SP president has already announced to give 11 seats to Congress and 7 to RLD , and will contest the remaining 62 seats in UP under the umbrella of INDIAlliance.

Samajwadi Party became the first political party in Uttar Pradesh which announced 16 candidates for the Lok Sabha polls here on Tuesday. The list includes party president Akhilesh Yadav’ wife Dimple Yadav and two more from his family.
The SP president has already announced to give 11 seats to Congress and 7 to RLD , and will contest the remaining 62 seats in UP under the umbrella of INDIAlliance.
The SP announced the names of 16 candidates for Lok Sabha through its official social media channel.

In the post, the party said this time united voting will be held in the name of PDA.
‘PDA’ is the name of the unity born out of shared consciousness and feeling against the exploitation and oppression of those who are “pichre” (backward), Dalit and “alpashankhak” (minority).
The candidates are — Sitting MP Shafiqur Rahman Burke from Sambhal, party’s secretary General Dr Ram Gopal Yadav’s son Akshay Yadav from Firozabad, sitting MP and wife of party president Dimple Yadav from Mainpuri, Devesh Shakya from Etah, Akhilesh Yadav’s cousin Dharmendra Yadav from Badaun, Utkarsh Verma from Kheri, Anand Bhadauria from Dhaurahra , Anu Tandon from Unnao and sitting MLA Ravidas Mehrotra from Lucknow .
Dr Naval Kishore Shakya from Farrukhabad, Rajaram Pal from Akbarpur, Shivshanker Singh Patel from Banda, sitting MLA Awadhesh Prasad from Faizabad, sitting MLA Lalji Verma from Ambedkarnagar, Ramprasad Chaurasia from Basti and Kajal Nishad from Gorakhpur also made to the list of candidates announced.
He said that those who gave the slogan 'One Nation, One Election' are now unable to even conduct a single examination, despite promising to hold record examinations.
The campaign for the nine assembly byelections has intensified in Uttar Pradesh with just 24 hours left to end electioneering before the elections on Wednesday.
