Singh claimed that “if she contested elections from Rae Bareli, she was sure to lose. Hence, she left Rae Bareli”.
In the 2019 Lok Sabha polls, Sonia Gandhi defeated Dinesh Pratsp Singh. “Despite her increasing age, she is going everywhere to ensure that Pappu passes. She is visiting all the countries of the world and there is no health issue there,” he said, adding that no voice has been raised for Rae Bareli in the country’s Parliament in the last 10 years.
Singh said that the Congress is not in a position to contest elections on any seat in UP. Besides, Priyanka Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi’s cards will no longer work in Rae Bareli and that’s why Sonia moved to Rajasthan fearing defeat from Rae Bareli.
Commenting on Priyanka Gandhi contesting the election from Rae Bareli, he said, “Without service and glamour, no one can become an MP merely with influence. Priyanka Gandhi could not pass when she was young, what will she do now when she gets old. If Rahul Gandhi comes to Rae Bareli, the public will raise questions.”
“Rahul Gandhi’s mother Sonia cheated grandmother Indira in Rae Bareli and ran away. When people of Rae Bareli and Amethi were not given justice, then how will Rahul Gandhi be able to give justice to the country,” he charged.
