Smriti Irani a ‘gloating mom’, son Zohr scores 91% in CBSE Class 12

The CBSE Class 12th board results are out and the parents of many students are obviously elated with the performance of their children. One of them is Union Textiles Minister Smriti Irani.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader, who is currently busy campaigning in Amethi for the Lok Sabha elections 2019, tweeted her son’s result soon after they were announced by the Board.

“Ok saying it out loud— proud of my son Zohr..not only did he come back with a bronze medal from the World Kempo Championship also scored well in 12 th boards. Best of 4– 91% .. special yahoo for 94% in economics.. Maaf karna ,today I’m just a gloating Mom,” Irani tweeted.

Irani has two children from her husband, Parsi businessman Zubin Irani. Zohr, her son, was born in October 2001. The couple also has a daughter.

Irani is also the stepmother to Shanelle, who is Zubin Irani’s daughter from his previous marriage.

World Kempo Championship is a martial arts tournament where combatants try to outdo each other using the techniques of Japanese martial arts known as Kempo.

At the time of writing, Irani’s tweet had been liked 2.2K times.

Twitter users posted congratulatory messages for the Union minister and her son.

 

In April, the Congress questioned Irani’s educational qualifications after she filed her nomination from Amethi.

Irani declared in the poll affidavit that she is not a graduate and passed secondary school examination in 1991 and senior secondary school examination in 1993. According to reports, she had in her affidavit in 2014 said that she graduated from Delhi University’s School of Open Learning in 1994.

Priyanka Chaturvedi, who was at the time Congress spokesperson, came up with the party’s own version of Irani’s popular TV series ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahun Thi’ to take a jibe at the Union minister.

The toppers of this year’s CBSE class 12 examinations are Hansika Shukla, who is from DPS Meerut road Ghaziabad, and Karishma Arora, who is from SD Public School Muzaffarnagar. Both secured 499 marks.

The top-performing region is Trivandrum with a pass percentage of 98.2 percent.
