Learn to stand on your own legs: SC to Ajit Pawar ahead of Maha polls
The top court also instructed the Ajit Pawar-led faction to “learn to stand on its own legs” and maintain individuality of the parties.
The NCP(SCP) chief said that CM Shinde is coming to Baramati for the first time and invited him to share a meal along with his Cabinet colleagues.
Nationalist Congress Party (SCP) chief Sharad Pawar has invited Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and his two deputies — Ajit Pawar and BJP’s Devendra Fadnavis — for dinner at his residence in Baramati on March 2.
In a letter to the Maharashtra CM, Sharad Pawar said that CM Shinde is coming to Baramati for the first time and invited him for the meal along with his other Cabinet colleagues.
“After taking oath as CM of the state, the CM is coming to Baramati for the first time and I am very glad about his visit to attend the Namo Maharojgar Event in Baramati. Therefore I would like to extend the invitation for the meal at my residence after the event along with his other Cabinet colleagues,” the letter read.

The lunch invitation to the Maharashtra CM is likely to create an uncomfortable situation for his INDIA alliance partners as it comes at a time when Pawar is holding alliance talks with the Congress and Uddhav Thackeray faction of Shiv Sena.
The development is being seen by many as an outreach attempt by Sharad Pawar to his present political rivals amid BJP allegations that the Maharashtra stalwart was behind the protest by Maratha quota activist Manoj Jarange Patil.
Maharashtra BJP leader Pravin Darekar had alleged the Sharad Pawar has conspired with Patil to foment unrest and demanded the latter’s arrest.
The Maharashtra government has formed an SIT to probe if anyone someone instigated the Maratha quota activist to lead protests.
The SIT was formed after Patil accused Maharashtra deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis of hatching a conspiracy to murder him and end the influence of Maratha community.
