N Franklin Jayakumar graduated in Mining Engineering from College of Engineering, Guindy, Anna University, Chennai in 1992.
N Franklin Jayakumar assumed charge as Director Technical (Project and Planning) of South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) on Wednesday.
SECL CMD Dr Prem Sagar Mishra, Functional Directors, CVO, SECL Steering Committee members, Company Welfare Board members, various heads of departments, officers and employees congratulated and conveyed their best wishes to him.
Before coming to SECL, N Franklin Jayakumar was working as Executive Director – Coal Coordination and Project Head, Talabira II and III OCP, at NLC India Limited.

He has over 31 years of extensive experience in the coal industry working in the field of development, operation and management of coal projects in various government and private companies located in India and abroad.
N Franklin Jayakumar graduated in Mining Engineering from College of Engineering, Guindy, Anna University, Chennai in 1992.
Along with this, he has also earned Post Graduate Diploma in Environmental Engineering and Management from Central University, Hyderabad and MBA (Human Resource Management) degree from Alagappa University, Tamil Nadu.
Along with this, he has also earned First Class Mine Managers Certificate of Competency from the Directorate General of Mine Safety.
