Earlier on Friday, the apex court had deferred the shifting of Unnao rape survivor and her lawyer from King George Medical College Hospital to AIIMS after the relatives informed the court that the rape victim was completely unconscious and urged to allow continue her treatment in the UP hospital.

The lawyer for the family of the rape survivor had said that she can be shifted once her condition is stable.

The court had earlier observed that doctors are the best judges who can decide whether the teen and her lawyer can be airlifted to Delhi.

On Sunday, the woman from Unnao, who had accused expelled BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar of raping her in 2017, was severely injured while two of her aunts were killed after their car collided with a truck near Raebareli in Uttar Pradesh.

The rape survivor and her family members were on their way to meet her uncle in jail when the collision occurred.

Meanwhile, the Supreme has ordered that the transfer of accident case be kept in abeyance for 15 days and will be heard in Lucknow until then.

The court had earlier ordered the transfer all the five cases linked to the Unnao rape and accident case from Uttar Pradesh to Delhi with immediate effect.

However, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) urged the apex court not to shift the accident case to Delhi as one of the arrested accused in the case has to be presented before a Judicial Magistrate in Lucknow.

The CBI has registered a case against expelled BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar and nine other accused under criminal conspiracy, murder, attempt to murder and criminal intimidation in the accident case.

The Unnao district administration also cancelled three arms licences which belonged to the rape and murder accused MLA.
