Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, who is embroiled in an exchange of barbs with Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, has said that he will soon unmask the duplicity surrounding the Gandhi family’s surname.
Responding to accusations of corruption levelled by Rahul Gandhi during the ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra,’ Sarma asserted that he would substantiate his claims with proper documents.

Addressing the media during an official visit to Tezpur, the Chief Minister stated that he would reveal the details within two days once his state tours conclude.
Replying to Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi’s expression of sympathy, Sarma dismissed concerns about stress, emphasising that elections were a form of treatment and that the party with the most votes would be deemed the healthiest.
Gaurav Gogoi had earlier accused Sarma of being the “most corrupt” CM, asserting that such allegations were widely published in the national media.
In his counter remark, Sarma accused the Gandhi family of being the “most corrupt” and raised doubts about the legitimacy of their surname. He questioned the legal implications of carrying a “duplicate title” and compared such an act with that of carrying a duplicate licence.
